Evangelism in the Midst of a Global Pandemic
We are living through a time of extremes. The normalcy of life has been disrupted. The pandemic has abruptly stripped many of those things away — work, social routines, and the light-heartedness of life. This leaves many more people contemplating faith, looking for hope and searching for purpose.
We already were living in a world that was growing more secular and celebrating self above all else. Relationships were growing less personal and life was more digital. However, being quarantined has made the loneliness, depression and hopelessness more extreme and the lack of peace around the world more acute.
Now we are all spending more time than ever at home and in front of our devices. The result is an opportunity for online evangelists unlike anything we have seen in our lifetime.
Need Him Global is an online evangelism ministry and we have seen many more people than normal searching for God over the past eight months. People who were not previously interested, and don’t know Jesus, are looking for connection and answers. They want to discuss faith, the need to change their lives, and a desire to get right with God.
Need Him Global was founded almost 25 years ago as a safe place for people to learn what it means to trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We started with phone calls and now use various media and ministry partners to invite people to talk and have live conversation. We currently connect with 30,000 people each month from all over the world via online chats, text messages, and social media messages.
We partner with ministries around the world that want to include a path for a follow up conversation after their event has taken place, but they have no means to respond. We also partner by sharing our safe and secure evangelism response system with ministries that have dedicated volunteers ready to respond.
If you want to learn more about partnering and how to add a fast and easy means to reach more people, then contact us at www.needhim.org. We are focused on together being able to do more to advance God’s kingdom.
Some people will never walk down the aisle or answer the altar call. They need to ask hard questions and learn truth in their journey towards Jesus. We are always looking for more partners that need a place for their audience to have just such a conversation.
